Malaysian state authorities will soon open a school exclusively for pregnant teens to help them overcome the stigma of having children outside marriage, an official said Wednesday.
The school will be able to accept about 30 students from 16 September, so the southernstate of Malacca the first in this predominantly Muslim country that the institutions, schools,the president said Abdul Rahman Abdul Karim.
The plan comes after Malaysian officials have expressed growing concern about young people who become pregnant and drop out. Some young mothers left their children in landfills, bushes or public toilets
